해양치유 맨발걷기 체험코스는 관동팔경 중 하나인 월송정 소나무 숲과 동해바다를 배경으로 기존의 길에 2.2km를 연장하여 조성할 예정이다.
체험코스에는 맨발 걷기길 외에도 세족대, 정자, 숲속식탁, 운동기구, 주민편의 시설 등도 설치하여 주민과 관광객들의 활용도를 높일 계획이다.
군은 이번 사업에 5억원을 투입하여2024년 4월까지 실시설계를 완료하고, 2024년 5월에 시설공사를 착공하여 금년 10월까지 준공을 목표로 하고 있다.
손병복 울진군수는 “해양치유 맨발걷기 체험코스 개발이 완료되면월송정 인근에 추진 중인 울진 해양치유센터, 구산해수욕장 오토캠핑장, 울진 사구습지와 연계 하여 관광벨트를 형성하고 주민건강 증진과 관광객 유치에 큰 역할을 할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
