브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 국토교통부는 더 많은 청년의 주거 부담을 완화하기 위해 ‘청년월세 특별지원’ 사업의 거주요건을 폐지하고, 이를 반영해 오는 12일부터 신규 대상자 신청을 받는다.
국토부는 지원의 사각지대를 해소하기 위해 거주요건(보증금 5000만원 이하 및 월세 70만원 이하)을 폐지했다고 11일 밝혔다.
청년층이 주로 거주하는 원룸, 오피스텔 등이 전세에서 월세로 빠르게 전환되고 있는 점과 월세가 지속해서 상승하는 상황을 고려한 것이다.
또한, 지원 기간도 한 사람당 최대 2년으로 연장한다. 추가예산을 확보하기 위해 재정당국과 협의할 계획이다.
거주요건 폐지를 반영한 신청기간은 오는 12일부터 내년 2월 25일까지이다. 기존과 마찬가지로 복지로(누리집 또는 어플리케이션)에서 신청하거나 거주지의 행정복지센터에 방문하여 신청할 수 있다.
거주요건을 제외한 소득·자산 등 기타 요건은 동일하다. 자세한 사항은 복지로 누리집과 마이홈포털을 통해 확인할 수 있다.
