최민호 세종시장이 지난 26일 금남면 대박리와 원봉2리에서 ‘시장과 함께하는 1박 2일’ 시즌2 행보를 이어갔다고 세종시가 28일 밝혔다.
‘시장과 함께하는 1박 2일’은 최민호 시장이 직접 추진하는 소통 행정으로, 마을회관에서 1박을 하며 주민들과 격의 없이 대화로 지역 현안을 해결해 나가는 ‘현장형 소통행정 프로젝트’다.
특히 시즌2는 마을회관에서 주민과의 간담회에 주안점을 뒀던 시즌1과 달리 주요 사업 현장과 민생현장을 직접 방문해 주민과의 소통을 더욱 강화한다는 점에서 차이가 있다.
최민호 시장은 올해 시장과 함께하는 1박2일 시즌2의 첫 방문지로 금남면을 선택했다.
금남면 대박리 마을 입구에 정원을 조성하고 있는 주민들을 격려하고, 원주민과 외지인 간 공동체 활동이 왕성한 원봉2리 주민들의 시정에 대한 아이디어를 귀 기울여 듣기 위해서다.
이날 오후 대박리를 방문한 최민호 시장은 김윤호 이장과 주민들로부터 ‘함께하는 마을정원’ 조성 현황과 그간의 노력에 대한 설명을 듣고 현장을 둘러봤다.
이후 마을정자로 자리를 옮겨 주민들 30여 명과 담소를 나누며 마을의 빈집과 공터를 활용한 마을정원 확대 조성 방안에 대해 기탄없이 의견을 주고받았다.

이날 신용철 이장은 전원주택 단지 조성이 활발해 외지인이 꾸준히 전입하고 있는 마을 현황과 지속적인 인구유입을 위한 마을의 노력을 설명하면서, 마을안길과 교통편 등 기반 시설의 확충을 건의했다.
최민호 시장은 “다양한 사람이 서로 경계를 넘어 소통하고 협력하는 마을을 만들어가는 눈에 띄는 사례”라며 원주민과 이주민이 자연스레 어우러지는 모습을 높이 평가했다.
이어 “‘내 나무 갖기’ 실천 의지 등 원봉2리 주민들이 손을 맞잡고 마을을 가꾸고 발전시키려는 노력에 감사하다”며 “지역을 찾은 손님이 주민이 될 수 있도록 시 차원에서도 적극 노력하겠다”고 덧붙였다.
최민호 시장은 간담회 이후 원봉2리 마을회관에서 잠을 청했으며 이튿날 주민들과 원봉천 정비 및 모판 작업 현장 등을 둘러보는 것으로 ‘시장과 함께하는 1박 2일’ 아홉 번째 일정을 마무리했다.
