3일 울진군에 따르면 올해로 3년차를 맞이한‘군민 섬김데이’는 민선8기 취임 이후 군민들과 소통을 강화하기 위하여 마련된 것으로, 군수가 직접 군민 생활 속으로 찾아가 현장의 목소리에 귀 기울이고, 생활민원과 불편사항 등을 해결하고자 노력하고 있다.
특히 2024 섬김데이는“민생 속으로 더 가까이”라는 슬로건 아래 마을회관뿐만 아니라 관내 사업체로 방문 대상을 확대하여 운영할 계획이다.
손병복 군수 첫 번재 방문지로 평해 농공단지를 찾아 열악한 대내외 경제 여건 속에서지역경제 활성화를 위해 노력하고 있는 입주기업들의 애로사항을 청취하고, 울진군과기업의 상생방안을 모색하는 등 다양한 논의를 하였다.
또한 사무용 가구, 신발장 등을 생산하는 울진군장애인보호작업장과 게살볶음밥 공장인 디유푸드(주)를 비롯하여 입주기업 9개소를 방문하여 생산시설을둘러보고 직원들과 같이 식사하며 격려하는 시간을가졌다.
농공단지 방문 이후에는 월송 2, 3리 마을회관을 찾아가 어르신들의 안부를 묻고 불편한 부분은 없는지 의견을 듣고 대화를 나누는 시간을 가졌다.
손병복 울진군수는 “관내 농공단지와 지역이 함께 성장해 나갈 수있는 방안을 마련하기 위해 적극 노력하겠다”라며“어려운 시기를 지나고 있는 관내 기업들이 활기를 얻을 수 있도록 지역경제 활성화에 최선을 다하겠다” 라고 말했다. 또한 “울진군의 주인은 군민이라는 생각을 잊지않고 섬김을 통해 존중받는 군정을 만들어 가겠다”라고 말했다.
