윤석열 대통령이 10일 취임 2주년을 맞아 서울 독립문 영천시장을 찾아 "서민들이 체감할 수 있도록 모든 수단을 강구해 장바구니 물가를 잡는 데 정부 역량을 총동원하겠다"고 밝혔다.

윤 대통령은 시장에 도착해 주변에 몰려든 상인·시민들과 악수를 나누고 함께 셀카를 찍은데 이어 채소·과일 등을 판매하는 점포를 찾아 시장 상인들과 소통하며 가격 동향을 점검했다.
또 장보러 나온 시민들과도 대화를 나누며 생활 물가 관련 의견을 들었다. 영천시장은 서울 서대문구 독립문쪽 주택가 인근에 소재해 주민들이 자주 이용하는 대표적 골목형 전통시장이다.
더불어 윤 대통령은 이날 용산 대통령실 청사 기자실도 깜짝 방문해 출입기자들과 일일이 악수하며 인사를 나누기도 했다.
윤 대통령은 "전날 취임 2주년 기자회견서 기자들이 질문 기회를 얻지 못해 섭섭해한다는 이야기를 들었다"며 "앞으로 서너 달에 한 번 정도 기자회견을 자주 하겠다"고 밝혔다.
또 한 기자가 직접 질문을 받지 못했다고 얘기하자 "어제 73분간 질의응답을 진행했다"며 "미국 대통령도 그렇게 하지 않는다"고 설명했다.
