세종시교육청(이하 교육청)이 초등학교 저학년을 대상으로 늘봄학교 체험활동을 운영했다.
교육청은 늘봄학교 범부처 지원사업의 일환으로 경북 포항 등대박물관을 직접 방문해 ‘등대박물관 체험활동’을 감성초등학교(이하 감성초)에서 5주간 운영하여 학생들에게 특별한 체험을 선사했다고 전했다.
‘등대박물관 체험활동’은 교육부와 해양수산부가 공동으로 추진한 늘봄학교 관련 사업이며, 포항 국립등대박물관의 학예사들이 학교에 직접 방문하여 등대와 해양 문화에 대한 다양한 체험활동과 교육을 진행하는 프로그램이다.
프로그램 운영에 필요한 강사비와 재료비는 물론, 도미노와 코딩 로봇 등 수업에 필요한 모든 물품을 국립등대박물관에서 무상으로 직접 학생들에게 제공했다.
감성초에서는 지난 4월 22일부터 5월 27일까지 5주간 매주 월요일에 ‘등대박물관 체험활동’이 늘봄학교 초등 저학년을 대상으로 운영되었다.
주요 프로그램 내용으로는 신기한 등대 그리기 ,알록달록 도미노(기본) ,도미노로 만드는 등대(심화) ,우리 바다 터치 ,호미곶등대 만들기 등이 있으며, 이러한 다양한 활동들은 학생 맞춤형으로 진행되었다.
세종시교육청은 현재 1학기에 늘봄학교를 25개 초등학교를 대상으로 시범운영 중이며, 2학기에는 세종시 관내 모든 초등학교로 확대할 예정이다.
또한 지난 2월 28일, 교육부를 비롯한 기획재정부, 과학기술정보통신부 등 9개 중앙 부처가 ‘늘봄학교 범부처 지원본부’를 구성하여 늘봄학교의 안착을 위해 노력하고 있다고 밝혔다.
