[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 3일 오후 대성동고분군 세계유산 표지석 설치 제막식을 개최했다.

제막식에는 홍태용 시장, 김창수 시의회 사회산업위원장 등 시의원과 국립가야문화유산연구소, 국립김해박물관, 가야고분군 세계유산통합관리지원단, 가야사 학자, 가야유적 김해봉사단 등 70여명이 참석했다.

시는 유네스코 세계유산으로 등재된 대성동고분군 2곳에 세계유산 표지석을 설치했다.

세계유산 표지석은 가야고분군의 특징 중 하나인 석곽묘와 덮개석을 모티브로 가야를 표현하고 있으며 화강석과 오석을 사용해 정제되고 안정된 이미지를 줬다. 디자인은 가야고분군 세계유산통합관리지원단에서 7개 가야고분군을 대상으로 동일한 디자인을 개발했다.

지난해 9월 유네스코 세계연속유산으로 등재된 7개 가야고분군은 ▲김해 대성동고분군 ▲함안 말이산고분군 ▲창녕 교동과 송현동고분군 ▲고성 송학동고분군 ▲합천 옥전고분군 ▲고령 지산동고분군 ▲남원 유곡리와 두락리고분군이다.

홍태용 시장은 “대성동고분군이 유네스코 세계유산임을 알리는 중요한 기념비가 될 것”이라며 “세계가 인정하고 주목하는 자랑스러운 유적지를 잘 보존해 가야역사문화 중심도시로서 역할을 해낼 수 있도록 많은 관심을 부탁드린다”고 밝혔다.
