Main actor Myeong Ho Kim of “Love Temperature 82” received the LAPAC (Los Angeles Performing Arts Conservatory) Best Actor Award with a scholarship at the LA WEBFEST 2024. The Best Actress Award went to Raven Smith of “Quarter Life Crisis.”
The LA WEBFEST concluded its 15th annual event, held at the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre in Los Angeles on May 2-3, 2024. With participation from 30 countries, the event presented 40 awards. The recipient of the Outstanding Long-form Series award was the Apple TV+ drama “WeCrashed,” starring Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway. The Best Short Form Series award went to “Swiss Secret” from Switzerland.
This year's festival was an international showcase of some of the best long-form series, short-form web series, short films, pilots, and podcasts from around the world. Michael Ajakwe founded the LA WEBFEST in 2009, making it the first international festival dedicated specifically to web series. Since then, the festival has grown and inspired the creation of webfests all over the world, with more than 50 webfests forming a worldwide network.
Actor Myeong Ho Kim couldn’t attend the event, but he received the good news from LAPAC and LA WEBFEST. He said, “I was so surprised by this award. I never expected such a big award from the well-known Los Angeles acting academy LAPAC and the prestigious international film festival LA WEBFEST. I was lucky to act in this great project ‘Love Temperature 82’ with an amazing team. Special thanks to the director Ko-e Freya, and I want to thank the jury members at the LA WEBFEST.”
Actor Myeong Ho Kim recently finished filming “Secretly Sweetly Season 3,” produced by Buil Content and Hollywood Series Corp., and directed by Young Man Kang.
In Season Three, the private detective finally unravels the mystery of the secret painting, "The Painter on the Road to Tarascon" by Vincent van Gogh. Venturing to Tarascon, in the South of France, he hopes to recover the elusive artwork. However, upon arrival, he discovers that the painting does not exist, leaving him disheartened.
Actor Myeong Ho Kim already received the Best Actor Award for “Secretly Sweetly Season 2” at the Swedish International Film Festival 2023. “Secretly Sweetly Season 3” was released on YouTube and is making its rounds on the international film festival circuit.
