브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= KT는 지난 5월 한국지능정보사회진흥원(NIA)이 주관하는 ‘인공지능(AI) 맞춤형 교수학습 플랫폼’ 구축 사업의 우선협상대상자로 선정돼 계약을 체결했다고 21일 밝혔다.
KT는 올해 말까지 쌍용정보통신과 함께 서울시 교육청 등 전국 11개 교육청에 미래교육을 위한 플랫폼을 구축한다.
KT는 이번 사업 수주를 통해 기존에 상용서비스를 제공 중인 2개 교육청을 포함해 전국 17개 교육청 중 13개 교육청에 AI기반 맞춤형 교수 학습 플랫폼을 적용한다.
KT가 참여하는 이번 사업은 미래 교육 환경 기반을 조성하기 위해 △지능형 통합수업 체계 구현 △지능형 학습분석 시스템 개발 △학생 중심 교육 마이데이터 체계 정립을 중심으로 진행된다.
KT는 그간 축적된 빅데이터와 함께 xAPI(Experience API), LRS(Learning Record Store) 등 교육 AX 역량과 노하우를 기반으로 교수·학습 과정에서 발생한 데이터를 관리하고 분석한다. 이를 통해 AI 맞춤형 교수·학습 플랫폼이 실제로 다양하게 활용될 수 있도록 지원한다는 방침이다.
교사 대상으로 ‘AI 추천 맞춤형 자료’, ‘학습 진단 자동 분석’ 등으로 업무 효율화를 지원하고, 학생에게는 ‘AI 성취도 분석 진단’, ‘AI 추천 맞춤형 콘텐츠’로 자기주도 학습을 지원한다.
향후 KT는 미래 교육 환경의 수준을 높이기 위해 개인화된 맞춤형 시스템을 제공할 계획이다. 학생에게는 학습 성과 향상, 교사에게는 업무 환경 개선 및 학생과의 긴밀한 상호작용을 할 수 있도록 도울 예정이다. 또한, 교육 관계자에게는 정책 수립을 위한 데이터를 제공하기 위한 실증을 추진하는 등 교육 AX 서비스의 대표 사업자로 자리매김할 계획이다.
