윤석열 대통령이 25일 6·25전쟁 제74주년을 맞아 대구·경북 지역 참전유공자 초청 위로연을 열고 "영웅들 희생·헌신을 모든 국민들이 영원히 기억하고, 영웅들께서 합당한 존중·예우를 받는 보훈 문화를 확산해 나가는 데도 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.
윤 대통령은 이날 오전 대구 북구 대구엑스코 오디토리움에서 열린 6·25전쟁 제74주년 행사를 마친 후 '6·25참전영웅 초청 위로연'을 갖고 유공자들에게 감사를 표하며 이같이 말했다고 대통령실이 전했다. 이 자리엔 부인 김건희 여사도 함께 참석했다.
