[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 26일 군청 앞 문화휴식 공간 일원에서 구인모 거창군수, 거창군의회 군의원, 주요 기관단체장, 공무원 등 200여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘거창군청 신관 준공식’을 개최했다.

군비 84억 원이 투입된 군청사 증축사업은 1993년 군청 본관 신축 이후 30년 만의 증축공사로, 연 면적 1,735㎡의 지상 5층 규모이다.

2021년 3월 사무공간 정비와 증축 계획 수립하고 같은 해 9월 도·군유재산 교환에 따라 사업부지를 확보해 2022년 12월에 첫 삽을 뜬 후, 2024년 5월 준공했다.

1층은 필로티 구조로 주차 공간을 확보하고 2층 도시건축과, 3층 건설교통과, 4층 산림과, 5층 환경과와 인구교육과가 위치해 있으며, 5월 21일에는 5개 부서가 이사를 완료했다.

또한 군은 6월 초부터 기존 사무실 빈 공간에 주민들의 위한 편의시설 및 사무공간 확보를 위한 재배치사업을 진행중이며 올해 9월 완료 예정으로 주민의 편의성을 한층 높여나갈 예정이다.
