(June 28, Los Angeles): Buil Contents will host the first Art Talk “Talk Through Longing,” in collaboration with APY and TAG Gallery Los Angeles. The live streaming will be at 3 PM on July 2nd Korea Time, 11 PM on July 1st Pacific Time.
“Talk Through Longing” is an art exhibition showing at APY in Seongsu-dong, Korea, from June 19 to July 19. The exhibition has three themes:
1. “The First Daydream”
2. “Spring Summer Fall Winter”
3. “To Have”
A total of 60 artists, ranging in age from their 20s to 70s, are participating in the themed exhibition in Seoul.
This exhibition will also feature an online program internationally for the first time. In collaboration with TAG Gallery located in Los Angeles, USA, “Talk Through Longing” will discuss the works of the exhibiting Korean artists with American collectors. At TAG Gallery in the United States, Korean artists' works will be introduced and reviewed through an online YouTube channel.
This Art Talk event will be hosted and moderated by Young Man Kang, a festival director and film director working in Hollywood. Guest experts include Robert Zent Chew, Rhonda Burton, David Stewart Klein, and Laila Alamiri. This talk show will be held and filmed at TAG Gallery Los Angeles.
These guest experts will review and introduce the works of Korean artists Angela Heo, Junheequeen, Lee Chang Sook, Park Yeon Hee, Jang Mun Ja, Chen Ha Yun, Kim Gi Wha, and Lee Hye Jyung.
The Art Talk live streaming will take place on July 2nd at 3 PM Korea Time, coinciding with the opening reception of the exhibition “Talk Through Longing” in Seoul. The exhibition presents a unique format with a reception on July 2nd and a book concert on July 19th. Hosted by Buil Contents and curated by Ko E. Frayer, the exhibition is receiving great expectations and praise for the artistic quality of Korean works, both in Korea and the United States.
There is particular interest in traditional Korean folk paintings and works using Korean techniques, with a strong willingness to collect these works. Other excellent Korean contemporary art pieces will also be presented.
