윤석열 대통령이 4일 신임 금융위원장에 김병환 기획재정부 제1차관(53), 환경부 장관에 김완섭 전 기재부 2차관(56)·방송통신위원장에 이진숙 전 대전 MBC 사장을 각각 내정했다.
차관급 인사도 이뤄진 가운데 인사혁신처장 연원정·기재부 제1차관 김범석·농식품부차관 박범수·농촌진흥청장 권재한·산림청장 임상섭·국립중앙박물관장 김재홍 등이다. 정진석 대통령 비서실장은 이날 오전 용산 대통령실 브리핑에서 이같은 인선 사안을 전했다.
정 실장은 김병환 금융위원장 후보자에 대해 "행정고시 37회로 재경부·기재부에서 금융정책·거시경제 정책을 두루 담당한 정통 금융경제 관료"라며 "금융·거시 경제 전반에 대한 탁월한 식견을 바탕으로 금융산업 선진화·금융시장 안정화란 정책 과제를 효과적으로 추진할 적임자"라고 평했다.
