[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 내외동 무로거리 야간경관 조성사업을 완료해 3일 경관조명 점등식을 개최했다.

시는 ‘경상남도 소상공인 특화거리 지원사업’에 선정돼 5억7,000만원의 사업비를 확보해 김해 대표 먹거리 1번지 무로거리를 맛과 멋이 함께하는 명품 야간명소로 조성했다.

이번 사업으로 △야간경관조형물 설치 △버스킹공연장 조성 △거리 주변 전선을 지중화했으며 특히 무로캐릭터와 무로거리의 대표 먹거리 품목을 모티브로 디자인한 게이트형 야간경관조형물이 다채로운 빛으로 재미를 더한다.

거리 내 거미줄처럼 얽혀있던 전선·통신선을 지하로 매설해 깔끔하고 쾌적한 환경을 조성했으며 진·출입구에 스트링라이트를 설치해 거리를 안내하는 동시에 따뜻하고 낭만적인 분위기를 연출한다.

또 화려한 LED조명으로 꾸민 버스킹공연장은 지역 예술가의 젊음과 끼를 발산하는 기회의 장이자 방문객들에게 즐길거리를 제공하며 거리에 활력을 불어넣을 것으로 기대된다.

홍태용 시장은 “2024년 전국체전과 김해방문의 해를 맞아 무로거리 야간경관 특화로 축제 분위기를 조성하고 특화거리 활성화로 지역경제도 살아날 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.

한편 인제대 오래뜰 거리는 2024년 소상공인 골목상권 활성화 사업 공모에 선정돼 코로나19로 쇠퇴한 대학로 상권의 성장동력 마련을 위한 사업이 진행 중이다.
