이를 위해 시는 오는 9월 30일까지 3개반 14개 부서로 구성된 ‘경주시폭염대응 T/F팀’을 구성해 폭염 상황을 총괄 관리하고 대응체계를 구축한다.
시는 올해 △폭염피해 예방 및 신속한 대응체계 운영 △생활 밀착형 폭염대책 △폭염 취약 분야별(농업, 축산, 수산) 관리 △여름철 에너지 안정화 대책 등 4개 분야 9개 세부 대책을 마련했다.
먼저 폭염특보 발령 시 공무원, 자율방재단, 마을순찰대를 활용해 고령층, 농·어촌 종사자 등에게 폭염 예방 가두방송과 예찰 활동을 강화한다.
또 살수차 4대로 교통량이 많은 주요 도로변과 골목길 등 6개 주요 노선에 일일 59㎞ 물 살포 작업을 통해 도심 열기를 식힌다.
지역 중·대형 공사장을 대상으로 폭염 대비 건설현장 행동요령 준수, 공사장 내 근로자 쉼터 운영, 무더위 휴식시간제 운영 등 철저한 현장점검을 실시해 야외 근로자 안전 관리에 힘쓴다.
