브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 삼성생명이 자사 컨설턴트를 대상으로 직업 만족도에 대한 설문조사를 실시했다.
1만5000여 명이 참여한 설문조사에서 응답자의 72.5%가 ‘컨설턴트’ 직업에 만족한다고 답했으며, 이들 중 77.6%는 컨설턴트 직업을 주변 사람들에게 추천하겠다고 응답했다. 실제, 추천의향을 보인 삼성생명 컨설턴트의 63.3%는 주변 지인에게 컨설턴트 직업을 추천해 함께 일하고 있는 것으로 조사됐다.
컨설턴트들이 직업에 만족하는 주요 이유는 ‘노력한 만큼 성과에 따른 인정과 보상’(34.5%)’이 가장 컸다. 만족도가 높다고 응답한 컨설턴트의 평균 소득은 그렇지 않은 경우보다 약 1.6배 높았다.
이어 ‘일과 가정을 병행할 수 있는 유연한 근무 환경’(27.5%)’, ‘정년 없는 평생 직업(26.3%)’, ‘금융전문가로서의 성장(7.9%)’ 등이었다.
아울러 컨설턴트들은 ‘고객이 나를 인정하고 지인을 소개해줄 때(57.2%)’ 가장 큰 보람을 느낀다고 답했으며, ‘고객에게 보험금이 지급될 때(27.3%)’와 ‘가족 또는 지인으로부터 인정받을 때(10.5%)’도 보람을 느끼는 주요 순간으로 나타났다.
삼성생명 컨설턴트로 활동하기 전 직업으로 전업주부가 35.4%로 가장 많았으며, 급여생활자(29.1%), 자영업(25.1%), 영업직(10.4%) 등이 뒤를 이었다.
삼성생명 컨설턴트에 도전하며 가장 걱정했던 부분은 ‘보험 영업에 대한 막연한 두려움(46.6%)’과 ‘고객 발굴의 어려움(32.7%)’ 등이었다.
삼성생명 관계자는 “앞으로도 다양한 배경을 가진 컨설턴트들이 어려움 없이 영업 할 수 있도록 교육 프로그램과 시스템을 더 발전시켜 나갈 계획이다”며 “삼성생명 컨설턴트라는 새로운 도전을 통해 자신의 가치를 재발견 할 수 있도록 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
