(브레이크뉴스인천 문광수 기자) 부천시 산울림청소년센터가 오는 9월 7일 부천상동호수공원에서 ‘제14회 부천시장배 오리엔티어링대회’를 개최한다고 밝혔다.
센터에 따르면, 오리엔티어링이란 보물찾기 같은 체험을 통해 신체적 건강과 모험심, 도전정신을 키워주는 야외활동으로 북유럽에서 시작된 놀이 겸 스포츠이다.
이번 대회는 청소년 클래스, 가족 클래스 등 다양한 그룹으로 나누어 경쟁하는 형식으로 진행되며 자연 속에서 지도와 나침반을 가지고 정해진 시간 내에 목표물을 가장 많이, 빨리 찾아서 돌아오는 팀이 승리한다.
아이들이 서바이벌 경쟁을 통해 협동심과 배려심을 배우며 몸과 마음이 튼튼해지는 시간이 될 것으로 기대된다.
청소년 클래스는 뛰어오리(12~15년생), 날아오리(06~11년생)로 2인 1조로 참가 가능하며, 가족 클래스는 아기오리가족(16~20년생 자녀를 둔 가족), 어린오리가족(12~15년생 자녀를 둔 가족), 청춘오리가족(06~11년생 자녀를 둔 가족)으로 8월 16일(금) 24시까지 신청할 수 있다.
이번 대회는 사전접수로 진행되는 청소년·가족 클래스뿐만 아니라 현장에서 오리엔티어링을 체험할 수 있는 미로, 모바일 경기와 친환경 체험 부스 등도 함께 운영되어 부천시 청소년과 시민들에게 즐거운 주말을 선사할 예정이다.
