한중도시우호협회는 7월27인 보도자료에서 “권기식 한중도시우호협회장은 26일 중국 시짱(西藏)자치구 르카쩌(日喀則)시를 방문했다”고 알렸다.
보도자료에 따르면, 권기식 회장은 이날 오후 르카쩌시 시청사에서 거행된 '서울 금천구(구청장 유성훈)-르까쩌시 우호도시의향서 협약식'에 참석했다. 두 도시의 우호도시 의향서 협약식은 권 회장의 제안과 주한중국대사관, 시짱자치구 인민정부의 지원으로 이뤄졌다. 르카쩌시가 한국 도시와 우호교류를 맺은 것은 첫 사례로 알려져 있다.
