브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 유한양행은 지난 26일 청소년 진로체험 프로그램인 ‘버들과학진로캠프’를 진행했다고 30일 밝혔다.
버들과학진로캠프는 2019년부터 청소년을 대상으로 실시하고 있는 제약바이오 분야 진로체험 프로그램이며, 2023년에는 교육부로부터 관련 성과를 인정받아 ‘교육기부 진로체험인증제’에 선정된 바 있다.
이 프로그램은 진로 탐색 전문 기관인 동작구 진로직업체험지원센터와 협력해 진행하고 있으며, 올해는 동작구 관내 동작고, 성남고, 숭의여고 3개 학교가 참여했다. 6월부터 학교별 온라인 교육을 실시했으며, 지난 26일에는 본사 15층에서 학생 총 112명이 참여한 가운데 견학프로그램을 진행했다.
이날 중앙연구소 오세웅 부사장은 인사말을 통해 “제약바이오 분야에 많은 관심을 가지고 있는 청소년들에게 진로탐색 기회를 제공하는 버들과학진로캠프를 개최하게 돼 매우 기쁘게 생각한다”며 “이번 캠프가 미래 K-제약바이오를 이끌 청소년들에게 실질적 도움이 되는 진로 체험의 장이 되길 바란다”고 전했다.
지난 6월부터 3회에 걸쳐 실시한 온라인 교육에서는 온라인 연구소 견학, 사회적 가치를 중시한 유일한 박사에 대한 진로특강 및 신약개발과 진로에 관한 궁금증을 해소할 수 있는 연구원 멘토링이 실시됐다.
또한, 26일 본사 견학에서는 제약바이오산업 특강, 환자를 위한 신약 및 서비스 개발 아이디어 경진대회와 유일한 박사 기념관 방문 등 청소년들이 제약바이오 산업을 이해하고, 진로를 탐색할 수 있는 프로그램을 제공했다.
한편, 유한양행은 앞으로도 버들과학진로캠프가 미래 유망산업인 제약바이오 분야의 대표 청소년 진로탐색 프로그램이 될 수 있도록 지속적으로 확대 운영할 계획이다.
