브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 암호화폐 '테라·루나' 폭락 사태의 핵심 인물인 권도형 테라폼랩스 전 대표의 한국 송환이 미뤄질 전망이다. 몬테네그로 법원의 한국 인도 결정에 대해 현지 검찰이 재검토를 요구했기 때문이다.
7일(현지시간) 몬테네그로 현지 일간지 비예스티에 따르면 몬테네그로 대검찰청은 지난 2일 권씨의 신병을 한국으로 인도하기로 한 결정에 관한 판결 집행을 연기해달라는 내용의 적법성 판단 요청서를 대법원에 제출했다.
이에 따라 몬테네그로 대법원의 판결이 나올 때까지 권씨의 한국 송환은 미뤄질 것으로 예상된다.
현지 검찰은 포드고리차 고등법원과 항소법원이 결정한 권씨의 한국 송환과 관련, 송환 조건이 충족되는지, 미국으로의 송환을 기각한 결정은 적법했는지 등을 다시한번 따져 달라고 요구한 것으로 전해졌다.
한편, 몬테네그로 항소법원은 지난 1일(현지시각) 권도형씨의 한국 송환을 결정하면서 미국의 범죄인 인도 요청은 기각했다.
법원은 권씨에 대한 인도요청서를 한국이 미국보다 더 빨리 제출한 점을 근거로 이같은 판단을 내렸다.
