[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 폭염으로 인한 농축산분야 피해를 최소화하기 위해 지난 2일부터 영농현장 점검 및 폭염 대응 요령을 지도하고 있다고 12일 밝혔다.
최근 농축산업의 특성상 폭염으로 인한 농업인의 온열질환 발생과 작물 및 가축의 피해가 우려되고 있는 상황이다.
이에 시는 폭염상황 종료 시까지 6개조, 25명으로 현장점검·지도반을 편성해 영농 현장 점검과 농업인 안전관리를 지속적으로 지도할 예정이다.
특히 시는 폭염으로 인한 가축 피해 예방을 위해 5억원의 사업비를 투입해 300여 농가에 환풍기, 쿨링패드, 안개분무시설 등 저감시설·장비를 지원하고 있다.
진주시 관계자는 “농촌지역 고령화 및 야외작업으로 인한 농업인의 온열질환 발생이 우려되고 있다”며 “폭염 안전 수칙을 지켜줄 것”을 당부했다.
