브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= SK그룹이 대표 지식경영 플랫폼 ‘이천포럼’을 통해 AI 생태계 확장 및 SKMS 정신 내재화 방안 등을 모색한다.
SK그룹은 19일 서울 광진구 워커힐 호텔에서 ‘이천포럼 2024’ 개막식을 열고 21일까지 사흘간 이어지는 일정을 시작했다고 밝혔다.
올해로 8회째를 맞은 이번 이천포럼에서는 AI 분야에 대해 집중적인 논의가 이어진다. 앞서 SK그룹은 지난 6월 진행된 경영전략회의에서 AI와 반도체 분야에 과감한 투자 계획을 밝힌 바 있다.
SK는 포럼 기간 중 AI Transition(AI 전환)에 따른 산업 지형 재편과 이로 인한 비즈니스 기회 및 위협 요인들을 점검하고, 자사가 추진하고 있는 AI 밸류체인을 더욱 정교화하기 위해 인공지능 각 분야 전문가들과 머리를 맞댄다.
이번 이천 포럼의 주요 의제도 △AI생태계 확장 과정에서 성공적 가치 창출 방안 모색 △AI기반 DT(디지털 전환) 촉진을 위한 변화관리 체계 △AI 시대, 구성원들의 일하는 방식 혁신 등으로 선정됐다.
이와 함께 SK그룹 고유 경영 철학인 SKMS의 실천력 제고를 위한 구성원 토의 세션도 이어진다. 급변하는 AI 시장 등 한치 앞을 전망하기 어려운 경영 파고를 넘기 위해서는 SKMS 정신 내재화가 필요하다는 판단이다.
AI를 주제로 한 19일 첫날 일정에는 최태원 SK 회장과 최재원 SK 수석부회장, 최창원 SK수펙스추구협의회 의장을 비롯해 계열사 주요 경영진과 사외이사들이 참석한다.
또한, AI 분야 각계 리더와 사회적가치연구원(CSES), 대한상의 및 울산상의 관계자 등 100여명이 참석한다. 특히, 이번 포럼에는 SK텔레콤 주도로 결성한 국내 유망 AI 스타트업 연합인 ‘K-AI 얼라이언스(K-AI Alliance)’ 소속 기업 대표들도 다수 참석해 AI 생태계 활성화를 위한 방안들을 제언할 예정이다.
첫날 오프닝은 SK텔레콤 유영상 사장이 맡는다. SK텔레콤은 AI 신성장 사업의 경쟁력을 강화하고 기존 통신 사업의 AI 전환을 완성하겠다는 목표를 추진 중이다.

AI 시대에 맞춰 ‘구성원의 일하는 방식’을 어떻게 혁신할지에 대한 논의도 이어진다. 구성원들이 생성형 AI를 활용해 개인 업무생산성 제고 방안을 찾아보는 프로젝트에 참여한 주요 사례 등이 소개될 예정이다.
둘째날인 20일엔 SK그룹 핵심 경영철학인 SKMS에 대한 이해와 공감도를 높이는 시간이 마련된다. 각 멤버사들은 사별 워크숍을 갖고 SKMS 기본 개념, 실천사례 들에 대해 공유하는 시간을 갖는다. 경영 환경의 변곡점마다 구심점 역할을 해왔던 SKMS를 다시 이해하고, 각 사가 직면한 경영과제를 돌파하기 위한 실천 방안들을 구성원 목소리로 직접 들으며 일선 현장에서 SKMS 실행력을 높이자는 취지다.
마지막 날인 21일에는 최태원 회장이 구성원들과 함께 포럼 성과를 돌아보고 AI와 SKMS 실천 일상화를 위한 지혜를 모으는 시간이 마련된다. 이어 최 회장의 클로징 스피치를 끝으로 3일간 진행되는 이천포럼의 대단원도 마무리된다.
