[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 내년 상반기 개장을 목표로 장유여객터미널의 직영 체계 전환을 추진한다고 21일 밝혔다.
민간사업자 측의 터미널 개장이 수개월째 지연되고 있어 시는 공영터미널로 운영하기 위해 현재 이해관계업체와의 협의에 속도를 내고 있다.
㈜삼호디엔티는 장유여객터미널사업 건립과 운영을 위해 2017년부터 시와 협약을 맺고 사업을 진행해 왔다.
올해 2월 건물 준공 후 5월 9일부터 터미널을 정상 운영한다는 개시 신청을 했으나 장유지역을 운행하는 12개 시외버스운수사와 합의점을 찾지 못하고 난항을 겪어 왔다.
더욱이 재정 압박을 받아 오던 ㈜삼호디엔티는 7월 18일 토지신탁계약의 수탁사인 KB부동산신탁으로부터 (주)삼호디엔티가 갖고 있던 위탁자로서의 일체의 권한이 신탁계약에 정한 바에 따라 ㈜두진건설로 위임되었다는 통지를 받아 위탁자로서의 모든 권한을 상실했다.
사실상 장유여객터미널의 정상적인 운영이 어렵게 된 것이다.

시는 터미널의 효율적인 관리를 위한 원가산정용역을 진행하고 있으며 기부채납을 위한 의회 동의 등의 행정절차를 연내 마무리하고 시민들이 안전하게 이용할 수 있도록 터미널시설을 보완한 후 관리전문업체를 선정해 내년 상반기 중으로 개장할 계획이다.
시 관계자는 “경기침체와 시행업체의 재정적 어려움으로 인해 장유여객터미널의 개장이 지연되어 송구한 마음”이라며 “이해관계업체와의 적극적인 협의로 기부채납을 조속히 마무리하고 내년 상반기 중에 장유공영터미널을 개장해 시민 교통복지를 향상하는 동시에 시민들의 쉼터가 될 수 있도록 하겠다”고 밝혔다.
