대통령실이 21일 "한·체코 협력 관계 심화를 위한 태스크포스(TF) 회의를 열고 윤석열 대통령의 내달 체코 방문 관련 준비 상황을 점검했다"고 밝혔다.
장호진 외교안보특보·성태윤 정책실장 공동 주재로 열린 이날 회의에선 최근 한국 기업이 체코 원전 건설 우선협상대상자로 선정된 가운데 향후 체코 원전 협력 발전 방안을 비롯 금융·산업·에너지·과학기술·교통 인프라·교육 등 제반 분야에 걸친 호혜적 협력 추진 방안이 검토됐다.
이날 회의엔 기획재정부·과학기술정보통신부·외교부·국방부·산업통상자원부·국토교통부 등 정부 부처 및 대통령실 관계자 등이 참석했다.
참석자들은 윤 대통령의 이번 방문이 양국 전략적 동반자 관계를 한층 강화하는 중요 계기가 될 수 있도록 정상 방문을 차질 없이 준비하면서 실질 협력 성과를 계속해 발굴해 나가기로 했다.
한국 '팀코리아 컨소시엄(한국수력원자력·한국전력기술·한전KPS·대우건설·두산에너빌리티)'은 지난 7월 17일 프랑스 프랑스전력공사(EDF) 컨소시엄을 누르고 24조 규모 두코바니 2기(5·6호기) 원전 건설 사업 우선협상대상자로 선정된 바 있다.

The Office of the President announced on the 21st that it "held a task force (TF) meeting to deepen Korea-Czech cooperation relations and reviewed the status of preparations for President Yoon Seok-yeol's visit to the Czech Republic next month."
At the meeting, co-chaired by Special Advisor to the President for Foreign Affairs and Security Jang Ho-jin and Director of Policy Office Sung Tae-yoon, the plan to promote mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields including finance, industry, energy, science and technology, transportation infrastructure, and education, as well as future development of cooperation in the Czech Republic's nuclear power plant, was reviewed, as a Korean company was recently selected as the preferred bidder for the construction of the Czech nuclear power plant.
The meeting was attended by government ministries such as the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, as well as officials from the Office of the President.
The attendees agreed to continue to discover practical cooperation results while preparing for the summit visit without a hitch so that President Yoon's visit can become an important opportunity to further strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
On July 17, the Korean 'Team Korea Consortium (Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, Korea Electric Power Engineering & Construction, KEPCO KPS, Daewoo Engineering & Construction, and Doosan Energy)' was selected as the preferred bidder for the construction project for the Dukovany 2nd nuclear power plant (Units 5 and 6) worth 24 trillion won, beating out the French EDF Consortium.
