이랜드재단이 자립준비청년을 위한 여름캠프를 진행했다.
이랜드재단(이사장 장광규)은 강원도 고성에 위치한 켄싱턴리조트 설악비치에서 8월 29일부터 8월 31일까지 자립준비청년을 위한 여름캠프 행사를 열었다고 9월 2일 밝혔다.
이랜드재단에 따르면 만 18세가 되어 아동양육기관 및 그룹홈(공동생활가정)에서의 보호 종료 후 취업 시장에서 어려움을 겪는 청년을 위해 이번 캠프를 기획했다고 한다.
이랜드재단은 그간 ‘돕는 자를 돕는다’는 사업방향을 바탕으로 사각지대 청소년 지원기관과 협력하며, 자립준비청년들의 사회 진출과 온전한 자립을 돕는 ‘E-YOUTH’ 사업을 운영해왔다.
‘크리스천 멘티 캠프’라는 이름으로 이랜드재단이 주최한 이번 캠프에는 선한울타리, 한국고아사랑협회가 함께했다.
여름캠프는 자립준비청년 30명이 진로와 비전에 대해 깊은 탐색을 할 수 있도록 지원하고, 정서적 안정과 사회적 관계망 형성을 돕는 프로그램이 구성됐다. 교육에는 이랜드재단 정영일 대표, 선한 울타리 박준형 목사, 소명교육개발원 신동열 대표 등이 강사로 참여한 강연이 진행됐다.
이랜드그룹 임직원이 멘토로 참여한 토크 콘서트 프로그램은 참가자의 실질적인 진로 탐색을 도왔다. 해당 프로그램에서는 패션, 외식, 유통, 호텔, 재무 등 다양한 직무에 대한 정보와 자립에 대한 조언이 참가자들에게 제공됐다.
임직원 멘토는 자립준비청년들과 팀을 꾸려 직업적 경험과 조언을 구체적으로 공유하는 등 캠프 기간 내내 소통하며 큰 호응을 얻었다.
교육이 끝난 후 참가자들은 자신의 비전을 선포하고, 수상 레포츠와 자조 모임 등 활동을 통해 공동체 의식을 함양하는 시간도 가졌다.
이랜드재단 관계자는 “이번 캠프가 자립준비청년들이 사회에 나가 겪는 막막함과 어려움을 해소하고, 자신만의 진로와 소명을 찾는 데 도움이 되길 바란다”며, “캠프에서 형성된 비전과 직업관이 지속 유지될 수 있도록 후속 프로그램을 개발해 나갈 계획”이라고 밝혔다.

The Eland Foundation held a summer camp for young adults preparing for independence.
Eland Foundation (Chairman Jang Kwang-gyu) announced on September 2 that it held a summer camp for young adults preparing for independence from August 29 to August 31 at Kensington Resort Seorak Beach in Goseong, Gangwon-do.
According to the foundation, the camp was organized for young adults who have reached the age of 18 and are facing difficulties in the job market after ending their protection in childcare institutions and group homes.
Based on its business direction of 'helping those who help others,' the Eland Foundation has been operating the 'E-YOUTH' project, which cooperates with youth support organizations in blind spots and helps young people who are ready to enter society and become fully independent.
The camp, named 'Christian Mentee Camp', was organized by the Eland Foundation in collaboration with Good Han Fence and Korea Orphan Love Association.
The summer camp was organized to help 30 young people who are preparing for independence to explore their careers and visions, and to help them develop emotional stability and social networks. The lectures were delivered by Jeong Young-il, CEO of the Eland Foundation, Park Joon-hyung, Pastor of Good Fence, and Shin Dong-yeol, CEO of the Ssomyeong Education and Development Center.
The talk concert program, in which Eland Group employees participated as mentors, helped participants explore practical career paths. The program provided participants with information on various jobs in fashion, food service, distribution, hotel, finance, and more, as well as advice on self-reliance.
Employee mentors teamed up with the young people to share their professional experiences and advice in detail throughout the camp, which was very well received.
After the training, the participants had a chance to declare their vision and foster a sense of community through activities such as water sports and self-help groups.
“We hope that this camp will help young people who are preparing for independence to resolve the obstacles and difficulties they face in society and find their own career path and calling,” said an official from the Eland Foundation. ”We plan to develop follow-up programs to ensure that the vision and career perspective formed at the camp are maintained.”
