[브레이크뉴스경기남부=성남 이현준기자] 이수진 더불어민주당 의원이 ‘과로사 및 장시간 노동 방지를 위한 특별조치법안’을 대표발의했다.

법안은 ▲노ㆍ사ㆍ정 및 전문가와 피해자단체 추천인이 참여하는 대책위를 설치해 3년마다 과로사 등 방지 기본계획을 심의하도록 하고, ▲중앙행정기관과 시ㆍ도지사은 기본계획에 따른 실행계획을 매년 수립ㆍ시행하도록 했다. 또한 ▲과로사 등에 관한 실태조사 및 조사ㆍ연구 결과를 반영해 국가와 지자체가 과로사 등 방지를 위한 행정적ㆍ재정적 조치 등을 하도록 하고, ▲특히 법정기준근로시간을 자발적으로 단축하거나 탄력적 근로시간제, 선택적 근로시간제, 연장근로, 교대제 근무 등의 운용을 개선해 근로시간을 단축하는 경우 필요한 비용을 지원하도록 하고 있다.
이수진 의원은 “우리나라는 OECD 최장노동시간 국가로 연간 500명 이상이 과로사하는 것으로 추정되는 심각한 상황이지만 이를 방지할 정부 대책은 미흡한 실정”이라며, “과로사와 장시간 노동은 국민의 생명과 건강을 지키고, 일·생활이 조화를 이루는 미래사회 비전을 실현하기 위해 반드시 해결해야 할 중대 문제라는 점에서 특별대책을 마련해 조속히 추진해 나가야 한다”고 강조했다.
