윤석열 대통령이 3일 또 럼 베트남 당서기장 겸 국가주석과 전화 통화를 갖고 양국 관계 발전 방안 관련 의견을 교환했다고 대통령실이 전했다.
윤 대통령은 이날 오후 럼 서기장과의 통화에서 취임을 축하 후 "양국이 수교 이래 지난 30여 년간 비약적으로 발전시켜 온 협력 성과를 기반으로 교역·투자·첨단산업·인프라·국방·방산 등 포괄적 분야에서 전략적 협력을 한층 강화해 나가자"며 "한·아세안 연대구상 이행과 관련해 베트남과 계속 긴밀히 협력하길 기대한다"고 했다.
이에 럼 서기장은 지난 7월 응우옌 당서기장 국장에 윤 대통령이 한덕수 국무총리를 파견한데 대해 감사를 표하고 "베트남의 특별한 파트너 한국과의 협력을 도약시켜 나가길 바란다"며 "한반도 평화를 증진하기 위한 한국 노력을 일관되게 지지한다"고 밝혔다.
럼 서기장은 지난 5월 22일 국가주석으로 선출된 가운데 고 응우옌 푸 쫑 당서기장 서거 후 지난 8월 3일 당서기장으로 선출된 바 있다.
'한·아세안 연대구상'은 윤 대통령이 아세안에 특화된 협력을 추진키 위해 지난 2022년 11월 발표한 것으로 오는 2027년까지 한·아세안 협력기금을 4800만(600여억)까지 늘려 자유롭고 평화로우며 번영하는 인도·태평양지역 실현에 기여하는 게 목표다.
