브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= SK그룹은 추석 연휴를 앞두고 협력사들의 자금 부담 완화를 위해 납품 대금 약 3272억원을 조기 지급한다고 12일 밝혔다.
이번 물품대금 조기 지급에는 SK하이닉스(1210억원), SK텔레콤(1260억원), SK㈜ C&C(400억원), SK실트론(276억원), SK에코플랜트(94억원), SK케미칼(24억원), SK㈜ 머티리얼즈(8억원) 등 모두 7개 관계사가 참여한다.
해당 관계사들은 협력사 납품 대금을 당초 지급일보다 앞당겨 추석 연휴 시작 전까지 모두 지급할 계획이다.
이는 명절을 전후해 원자재 대금, 직원 상여금 지급 등 자금 수요가 일시적으로 몰리는 협력사들을 지원하기 위한 조치다. 최근 내수 경기 불황 장기화로 자금 운용에 어려움을 겪어온 SK 협력사들에 단비가 될 것으로 기대된다.
SK그룹은 매년 설과 추석 전 협력사들의 자금난 해소를 돕기 위해 납품 대금을 선지급해왔다. 지난해 추석과 올 설에도 각각 1676억 원, 2116억 원의 대금을 조기 집행한 바 있다.
SK이노베이션 등 주요 관계사들은 이미 납품 대금 조기 지급 체계를 갖추고 있다. 명절을 앞두고 이벤트성으로 단발에 그치는 것이 아니라, 협력사 대금 조기 지급을 시스템화해 현행 하도급법 규정(물품 수령 후 60일 이내 지급)보다 훨씬 빠르게 정산하고 있다.
실제, SK이노베이션의 협력사 대금 지급주기는 평균 7일로 나타났으며, SK가스도 물품 수령 후 10일 이내 현금 지급을 원칙으로 하고 있다. SK하이닉스는 중소 협력사들을 돕기 위해 2020년부터 거래대금 지급 횟수를 월 3회에서 4회로 늘린 바 있다.
아울러 SK그룹은 ‘동반성장펀드’를 운용하며 협력사들의 원활한 자금 운용을 위한 적극적인 지원도 아끼지 않고 있다. 동반성장펀드는 시중 은행과의 협력을 통해 협력사에 자금을 지원하고 대출 이자를 감면해주는 프로그램이다. SK 관계사들은 현재 6,710억원 규모의 동반성장펀드를 운용하며 우수 협력사들을 대상으로 이자율 1~6%를 감면한 저리 대출 등을 시행하고 있다.
SK하이닉스는 1~2차 협력사들의 대금지불 조건 개선을 위해 무이자로 대출해주는 200억원 규모의 납품대금 지원펀드도 운영하고 있다. 기술 잠재력이 큰 유망 중소기업을 ‘기술혁신기업’으로 선정해 기술개발 자금을 역시 무이자로 대출해 주고 있다.
SK텔레콤은 최우수협력사 30개사를 매년 선정해 무이자로 대출해주는 380억원 규모의 펀드도 운영하고 있으며, 중소 비즈니스 파트너가 대금을 신청하면 지출 승인일로부터 2일 이내에 100% 현금으로 지급해주는 ‘대금지급바로’ 프로그램을 20년 넘게 운영 중이다.
SK그룹은 각 관계사가 보유한 기술과 지식 노하우를 바탕으로 협력사들의 ESG 경영체계 도입 및 기술 경쟁력 강화, 인재 육성 등도 적극 지원하고 있다.

한편, SK그룹은 추석을 전후해 내수시장 활성화를 위해 전통시장 온누리상품권 약 137억 원 상당을 구매 예정이다. 이 중 사업장 소재지 지역사회 지원 30억, 가정 밖 청소년 및 결식아동 지원 5억 등을 포함, 약 50억원을 사회공헌 활동에 사용해 지역경제 활성화 및 소외계층 지원에 힘을 보탤 계획이다.
