브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 법원 회생절차를 밟게 된 티몬·위메프에 대한 임금체불 진정이 400여 건에 달하는 것으로 드러난 가운데, 작년 5월과 11월에는 이미 임금 및 퇴직금 미지급 건으로 고용노동부의 근로감독까지 받았던 것으로 밝혀졌다 .
김위상 국민의힘 의원이 고용노동부로부터 제출받은 자료에 따르면 9월 현재까지 티몬·위메프 등 큐텐그룹 계열사의 임금체불과 관련해 고용노동부가 처리·조사 중인 사건이 400여 건에 달했다.
조사가 완료된 사건은 14건(1억2522만원)으로 이 중 불과 1건(10만원)만 체불액이 청산된 것으로 확인됐다. 단, 미청산 사건 13건 모두 피해근로자가 반의사불벌 취하서를 제출하면서 사건이 수사기관에 송치되지는 않았다 .
미지급된 임금 대부분은 퇴직금 체불으로, 티몬·위메프는 퇴직연금에도 가입돼 있지 않고 별도 적립금도 없는 상태다.
작년 5월과 11월에는 티몬과 위메프 모두 재직·퇴직근로자의 임금을 미지급해 고용노동부로부터 근로감독(시정지시)를 받았던 사실도 새롭게 드러났다.
이에 대해 김 의원은 “티몬·위메프 사태와 같이 퇴직연금에 가입하지 않은 기업이 경영 위기를 맞는 경우, 근로자는 퇴직금 한 푼 없이 실직 위기에 처하게 된다”며 “고용노동부는 대규모 체불 사태로 이어지지 않도록 특단의 대책을 강구해야 한다”고 말했다.
