【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=경주시의회(의장 이동협)는 9월 30일 의회 본회의장에서 8일간 일정의 제285회 경주시의회 임시회에 돌입했다.

이날 본회의의 시작에 앞서 정원기 의원은 ‘경주 용황지구 일대 주차난’에 대해, 최영기 의원은 ‘황금대교 인근 보행자 안전보장을 위한 대책 마련’을 주제로 5분 자유발언의 시간을 가졌다.
이어 제1차 본회의에서는 제285회 임시회 회기결정의 건을 비롯하여 의회운영위원회에서 제안한 경주시의회와 국내외 지방의회 간 교류 협력에 관한 조례안 등에 대한 심의가 이어졌다.
10월 1일부터 6일까지의 휴회기간 중 각 상임위원회에서는 상정된 조례안 및 일반안건에 대한 심사가 이루어지게 된다.
마지막 날인 10월 7일 제2차 본회의에서는 각 상임위원회에서 심사한 조례안 및 기타안건에 대하여 심의 및 의결할 예정이다.
한편 이번 임시회에는 정종문 의원이 대표 발의한 경주시 공공자금 운용 및 관리 조례안, 최영기 의원이 대표 발의한 경주시 여성의 경제활동 촉진과 경력단절 예방에 관한 조례안, 정성룡 의원이 대표 발의한 경주시 자동차대여사업의 등록기준에 관한 조례안 등 3건의 의원 발의 조례안을 포함하여 총 4건의 조례안이 상정됐다.
또한(재)경주화백컨벤션뷰로 운영에 따른 출연 동의안 등 10건의 동의안과 2024년 인문도시지원사업 공모사업 추진 보고 등 2건의 보고에 대한 심사도 이어진다.
이동협 경주시의회 의장은 개회사에서 “제51회 신라문화제의 성공적인 운영 및 이상기후에 따른 수해 최소화에 최선을 다해달라.”고 당부하며, “이번 임시회가 내실있는 성과를 거둘 수 있도록 동료 의원 및 관계 공무원 여러분의 적극적인 참여와 협조를 부탁드린다.”고 전했다.

Gyeongju City Council, 285th Extraordinary Session Opens
Gyeongju City Council (Chairman Lee Dong-hyeop) began the 285th Extraordinary Session of Gyeongju City Council for 8 days at the council plenary hall on September 30.

During the recess period from October 1 to 6, each standing committee will review the proposed ordinance and general agenda items.
On the last day, October 7, the 2nd plenary session will deliberate and decide on the ordinances and other agenda items reviewed by each standing committee.
Meanwhile, a total of 4 ordinances were tabled in this extraordinary session, including 3 ordinances proposed by members of the National Assembly, including the Ordinance on the Operation and Management of Public Funds in Gyeongju City proposed by Assemblyman Jeong Jong-moon, the Ordinance on the Promotion of Economic Activities and Prevention of Career Interruptions for Women in Gyeongju City proposed by Assemblyman Choi Yeong-gi, and the Ordinance on the Registration Standards for Automobile Rental Businesses in Gyeongju City proposed by Assemblyman Jeong Seong-ryong.
In addition, 10 consent motions, including the consent motion for the operation of the Gyeongju Artists Convention Bureau, and 2 reports, including the report on the promotion of the 2024 Humanities City Support Project Competition, will be reviewed.
In his opening remarks, Gyeongju City Council Chairman Lee Dong-hyeop said, “Please do your best to ensure the successful operation of the 51st Silla Cultural Festival and minimize flood damage caused by abnormal weather.” He also asked for “active participation and cooperation from fellow council members and public officials so that this extraordinary session can achieve substantial results.”
