[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 10월 축제가 한창인 가운데 대한민국을 대표하는 농악인들의 흥겨운 한마당 행사‘2024 대한민국 농악축제’가 성황리에 개최됐다고 7일 밝혔다.
이번 행사는 올해 18회째로 농악의 우수성을 알리고 전통문화를 계승·보존하기 위해 마련돼 6일 진주성 임진대첩 계사순의단 앞 특설무대에서 오후 1시부터 6시까지 진행됐다.
이날 행사에는 진주삼천포농악을 비롯해 평택농악, 필봉농악, 무을농악, 잔수농악, 매지농악 등 6개의 국가·시도 무형유산 단체가 전통 농악의 흥과 멋을 선보였다.
또 진주시 진성면·이현동 풍물단의 공연도 함께 진행돼 전문 예술인과 지역주민이 함께 어우러지는 축제의 장이 연출됐다.
이날 비가 오는 궂은 날씨에도 수많은 인파가 행사장을 방문해 각 지역의 농악단이 공연할 때마다 관객들은 박수와 함성이 쏟아 냈으며, 공연자들은 현란한 기예로 감동의 무대를 선사했다.
특히 이날 공연 중에는 관객들이 농악의 흥겨운 가락과 놀이에 매료돼 자연스럽게 무대로 올라와 공연자들과 함께 춤을 추며 공연을 즐겼고 마지막 순간까지 함께 하는 화합의 장이 연출됐다.
