화성시, 화성 과학고 유치 TF추진단 4차 회의

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=화성 이현준기자] 화성시는 화성 과학고 유치를 위한 ‘제4차 TF추진단 회의’를 개최했다.

7일 화성시청 상황실에서 화성시 과학고 유치 TF추진단 단장인 손임성 화성시 부시장 및 부단장인 문화교육국장, 관련부서장, 화성시연구원 책임연구위원 등 20여명이 참석했다.

회의는 지난달 11일 경기도교육청이 발표한 ‘경기형 과학고 신규지정 1단계 예비지정 공모계획’에 따라 공모신청을 위한 입지후보지, 재정지원범위 등 주요 현안사항을 논의하기 위한 자리로 마련됐다.

손임성 화성시 부시장은 “화성시 과학고 설립은 이공계 미래인재 육성과 화성시 학생들에게 더 많은 기회를 제공할 것”이라며, 지역사회의 기대에 부응하기 위해 공모신청까지 철저한 준비를 이어 가겠다.”고 말했다.

한편, 화성시는 이번 회의 결과와 화성시연구원의 정책연구 결과를 바탕으로 경기도화성오산교육지원청과 공모신청서 작성에 만전을 기할 예정이다.
