[브레이크뉴스경기남부=이천 이현준기자] 김경희 이천시장은 ㈜팔도 이천공장을 방문했다.
8일 기업체 관계자를 만나 애로사항을 청취하고 현장을 둘러보며 회사 관계자를 격려했다.
㈜팔도는 1983년에 설립된 라면 제조업체로, 팔도비빔면, 왕뚜껑, 꼬꼬면 등을 제조하여 연간 4억여 개의 라면(봉지면, 용기면)을 생산하고 있으며, 현재 50여 개 국가에 수출하고 있다.
최근 ㈜팔도는 팔도비빔면 등 스테디셀러 제품을 살짝 바꿔 팔도비빔장 주먹밥, 팔도비빔국수&왕교자 등 이색 신제품 개발 등 고객 호기심을 자극하는 먹거리를 선보이고 있어 앞으로의 성장을 더욱 기대할 수 있는 기업이기도 하다.
이번 방문에서 ㈜팔도는 수도권정비계획법 규제로 인한 제조시설 증설 애로에 대해 이천시가 관심을 두고 전폭적인 행정적 지원을 쏟아달라고 요청했다.
김경희 시장은 “국내 라면 생산 대표 기업으로서 누구나 즐겨 찾는 제품을 적기에 공급하기 위하여 1년 365일 24시간 제품생산에 매진하고 있는 기업과 근로자들의 노고에 깊은 감사를 전한다”라며, “앞으로도 우리 지역 경제 활성화의 든든한 동반자로 이천시와 함께 성장하며 발전해갈 수 있기를 희망한다”라고 말했다.
