안성시, 금북정맥 국가생태문화탐방로 준공식

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=안성 이현준기자] 안성시는 '금북정맥 국가생태문화탐방로조성사업' 준공식 기념행사를 개최했다.

지난 8일 준공식 기념행사에는 김보라 안성시장과 안정열 안성시의회의장을 비롯해 도의원, 시의원, 지역 기관·사회단체 및 지역주민, 아울러 본 사업의 수탁사인 국립공원공단이사장 등 약 100여명이 참석했다.

안성시는 본 사업추진을 위해 우리나라 국립공원을 37년간 최고 수준으로 관리하는 환경부 산하 공공기관인 국립공원공단과 위수탁 협약을 체결하여 추진했으며, 공단의 축적된 탐방로 조성·관리 역량 및 노하우를바탕으로 안성시금북정맥국가생태문화탐방로의 기본계획 수립부터 설계, 공사, 운영관리까지 전 분야를 수행했다.

그간 국립공원공단은 몇몇 지자체에서 ‘환경부 국가생태탐방로 조성사업’에 대해 일부 위탁받아 추진한 사례가 있으나, 전 분야를 공단에서 위탁받아 추진한 사례는 안성시가 처음이다.

금회 준공된 '안성시 금북정맥 국가생태문화탐방로 조성사업'은 총 3개의 공정별사업으로 나뉘어 추진된 사업으로 우리나라 13개 정맥 중 하나인 ‘금북정맥 생태탐방로 정비공사’, 금북정맥탐방로거점역할을 수행하게 될 ‘금북정맥 탐방안내소 조성공사’, 그리고 금북정맥과 연계하여 금광호수의 자연경관과 금북정맥 능선구간을 한눈에 담을 수있는‘금광호수 하늘전망대및 하늘탐방로 조성공사’이다.
