[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 제105회 전국체육대회가 11일 오후 5시 김해종합운동장에서 개회식을 시작으로 오는 17일까지 7일간의 대장정에 돌입했다.
경남에서는 14년 만이자 주 개최지인 김해에서 처음으로 열리는 이번 전국체전은 전국 17개 시·도선수단 2만8153명, 18개국 해외동포선수단 1478명이 참가해 11일부터 7일간 주 경기장인 김해종합운동장을 중심으로 도내 경기장에서 육상, 수영, 체조 등 49개 종목별로 자웅을 겨룬다.
개회식은 김해종합경기장에서 한덕수 국무총리, 장미란 문화체육관광부 제2차관, 이기흥 대한체육회장, 박완수 경남지사, 홍태용 김해시장 등 시·도선수단과 임원, 시민 등 1만4000여명이 참석한 가운데 개최됐다.

개회식은 ‘우주에서 우주로 화합의 불꽃’이라는 대주제 아래 오후 5시 블랙이글스 에어쇼에 이어 오후 6시 10분 개식 통고로 공식행사의 시작을 알리며 기수단을 선두로 18개국 해외동포선수단과 17개 시·도선수단이 차례로 입장했다.
이어 웅장하면서도 세련미 넘치는 김해종합경기장 그라운드 한복판에서 ‘화합의 불꽃, 미래의 하늘로’라는 주제로 펼쳐진 환상적인 공연은 경기장을 가득 메운 선수단과 시민들에게 크나큰 감동을 선사했다.
공연은 총 5막으로 나눠 5만 년 전부터 지금까지 경남의 모습을 영상과 타악, 춤으로 표현하며 우주항공과 미래산업을 향한 꿈과 비전, 국민화합의 메시지를 전했다.
또 인기가수 장윤정과 김다현, 송실장, 김희재, 하모나이즈가 전국체육대회 개회를 축하하며 김해종합경기장에 성공 체전의 열기를 가득 불어넣었다.
홍태용 김해시장은 “국내는 물론 해외에 스포츠문화도시 김해의 진면목을 알리기 위해 시민과 함께 많은 준비를 해왔으며 전국체전 개최를 계기로 김해는 모든 분야에서 한 단계 더 도약하게 됐다”며 “이제는 명실상부한 전국 규모 대회 개최도시로서의 역량을 기반으로 관광, 문화, 스포츠 행사를 지속적으로 유치해 지역 경제에 활력을 불어 넣을 것”이라고 말했다.
