안성시, 평택시 지방상수원 민·관 합동 실태조사

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=안성 이현준기자] 안성시는 평택시에서 실시하는 ‘지방상수원 민·관 합동 실태조사’에 참석했다.

지난 8일 경기도 수자원본부장, 안성·용인·평택 3개 市 민·관·정 정책협의체위촉위원 및 관계자 등 20여 명이 참석했다.

평택시 상수원보호구역 규제개선에 대한 타당성 검토를 위하여 유천·송탄정수장 인근 안성천과진위천 현장을 둘러보고 하천수를 채수하는 순서로 진행됐다.

이번 지방상수원 실태조사는 2021년 평택호 유역 수질개선과 상·하류 유역 지자체간 갈등 해소를 위해 관계기관이 체결한 '평택호 유역 상생협력 추진협약'에 따라 평택시에서 이행하는 규제 합리화의 첫 단계이다.

협약 이후 평택호 수질개선을 위한 3개 市의 수질개선사업은 추진되고 있었지만, 규제합리화를 위한 평택시의 지방상수원 실태조사가 진행되지 않아 지난 5월 3일에안성시는 협약이행을 촉구하는 내용을 담은 건의문을 평택시, 경기도, 환경부에 송부하기도 했다.

안성시 관계자는 “이번 지방상수원 민·관 합동 실태조사를 시작으로 평택호 수질개선사업 및 상수원보호구역의 규제합리화 절차가 원활하게 진행될 수 있기를바란다”고 전했다.

지방상수원 민·관 합동 실태조사는 이번에 1차, 12월에 2차, 내년 3월에 3차로,3회에 걸쳐 진행될 예정이다.
