울진군, 동해안 수소경제 산업벨트 활성화를 위한 업무협약 체결

【브레이크뉴스 울진】이우근 기자=울진군(군수 손병복)은 21일 포스코 국제관에서 개최된‘동해안 수소경제 포럼’에서 손병복울진군수, 양금희 경상북도 경제부지사, 이강덕 포항시장을 비롯한 14개 수소산업 관련 대학, 기업, 연구기관과 함께 ‘동해안 수소경제 산업벨트 활성화를 위한 업무협약’을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

울진군에 따르면 이날 협약식에는 경상북도, 울진군, 포항시, 삼성물산, 테크로스 워터앤에너지, HD현대플라스포, 서울대학교, 포항공과대학교, 경북대학교, 경일대학교, 동국대학교 WISE캠퍼스, 영남대학교, 한동대학교, 한국산업기술시험원이 참여했다.

협약의 주요 목표는 경상북도 내 청정 원자력 수소 생태계 구축, 지역혁신 생태계 조성, 지역 앵커 기업과 대학 간의 전략 기술 공동 개발(M&LS), 그리고 수소 전문 인력 양성으로, 이를 위해 대학은 수소 산업활성화를 위한 연구 기반 강화 및 전문 인력 양성 체계를 구축하고, 기업은 R&D 과정에서 양성된 인력의 적극적인 채용을 추진한다.

연구기관은 필요한 시설과 장비를 지원하며, 지방자치단체는 행정적 지원과R&D 연구 기반 구축 및 인력 양성 지원을 담당하기로 하였다. 또한, 실질적이고 원활한 협약 이행을 위해 실무협의체를 구성하기로 하여, 청정 원자력 수소 지역 혁신 생태계 조성을 위해 협약 당사자들이 긴밀한협력을 약속했다.

특히, 이번 협약으로 지역 앵커기업, 협력업체, 대학이 공동으로 중대형R&D를 기획하고, 지역의 혁신역량을 보완하기 위한 수도권 소재 대학과기업의 과제 참여도 이루어질 예정이다. 이를 통해 지역의 종합적 혁신역량강화와 산학 협력 플랫폼 구축을 통해 지역대학의 수소 인력양성및 신기술 육성을 위한 협업을 강화해 나갈 계획이다.

손병복 울진군수는 “이번 협약은 울진이 수소경제의 중심으로 자리매김할 수 있는 중요한 전환점이 될 것”이라며, “대학과 기업, 연구기관 간의 긴밀한 협력이 이루어져 울진이 원자력수소 산업의 선도 도시로 발전해 나가길 기대하며, 원자력수소를 통한지속 가능한 발전이 울진과 대한민국의 미래를 밝히는 길임을 잊지 말아야 한다”고 전했다.

According to Uljin-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Uljin-gun, Pohang-si, Samsung C&T, Techcross Water & Energy, HD Hyundai Plaspo, Seoul National University, Pohang University of Science and Technology, Kyungpook National University, Kyungil University, Dongguk University WISE Campus, Yeungnam University, Handong University, and Korea Testing Laboratory participated in the signing ceremony.

The main goals of the agreement are to establish a clean nuclear hydrogen ecosystem in Gyeongsangbuk-do, create a regional innovation ecosystem, jointly develop strategic technologies (M&LS) between regional anchor companies and universities, and foster hydrogen experts. To this end, universities will strengthen their research base and establish a system to foster experts for activating the hydrogen industry, and companies will actively recruit personnel trained in the R&D process.

Research institutes will support necessary facilities and equipment, and local governments will be responsible for administrative support, R&D research base construction, and personnel training support. In addition, a working-level consultative body will be formed for practical and smooth implementation of the agreement, and the parties to the agreement promised close cooperation to foster a clean nuclear hydrogen regional innovation ecosystem.

In particular, with this agreement, regional anchor companies, partner companies, and universities will jointly plan mid- to large-scale R&D, and universities and companies in the metropolitan area will participate in projects to supplement regional innovation capabilities.
