한민족문명진흥원은 10월23일 12시 서울 한강 둑기 앞(서울 수도박물관 앞)에서 서울 둑기(둑신사) 추향대제를 봉축했다.
한민족문명진흥원측은 “서울 한강의 뚝섬은 조선 수군을 양성하던 곳으로, 조선왕조는 이 곳에 한민족 무신(武神) 치우천왕(蚩尤天王)을 모신 둑신사(申祀)를 창건하고, 둑기(旗)를 세워 치우천왕을 추앙했다. 조상의 혼이 깃든 병영에서는 군사를 훈련하여 국가의 위기에 대비했다. 봄과 가을 경칩과 상강에 두 차례 둑신인 치우천왕께 배향하며 호국의 의지를 다짐했다”고 소개하고 “이제라도 둑신사 역사를 복원하여 부국강병, 국태민안을 위한 구심력을 확보하고, 민족정기와 바른 역사, 전통문화의 주체성을 확립하여 자긍심을 높이고자 둑기가 있는 이곳에서 추향대체를 봉축하게 됐다“고 강조했다.
이날 둑신사 추향대체에서는 전통 무술시범이 있었다.
