<November 5, 2024. Los Angeles> Filmmaker Young Man Kang’s Prayer International Series continues with its 17th episode, Prayer Marseille, now available on YouTube. This latest installment was produced by YMK Films and Hollywood Series Corp. in the USA, in collaboration with France's Ad Aeternam Productions and TamTam Stories.
TamTam Stories' executive producer, Jean-Michel Albert, known for producing numerous films and TV series, founded Marseille Webfest in 2011. Through Albert, director Young Man Kang connected with French co-producers David Schenk-Keusseyan and Laurent Lafond from Ad Aeternam Productions, bringing this cross-cultural project to life.
Prayer Marseille features an outstanding French cast, including Anysia Deprele, Cédrik Belabbas, Lucien Lerda, Milan Marangone, Valérie Belou, Sidney Cabot Sambosi, and Marie Gueit. The beautiful, iconic locations around Marseille's old port, especially Église Notre Dame du Mont and Le Bar de la Marina, serve as the backdrop. Le Bar de la Marina, a popular filming spot, is also famous for the final scene of Love Actually.

The Story:
In the picturesque city of Marseille, aspiring actress Camille Moreau (Anysia Deprele) and her husband Luc Dupont (Cédrik Belabbas) face career and personal challenges. After Camille loses a coveted role due to industry corruption, she contemplates leaving for Paris or Hollywood. However, Luc secures the role and urges her to stay and trust in their faith. An emotional confrontation and a visit to a local church bring Camille clarity, renewing her faith and commitment to their shared journey despite the obstacles.
Reflecting on the production, Young Man Kang said, “It was a pleasure to collaborate with such a talented French team. This is my first co-production with France, and I look forward to producing more episodes in other beautiful cities like Paris, Vichy, Mont Saint-Michel, and Auvers-Sur-Oise.” Co-producer Laurent Lafond has already suggested “Prayer Vichy,” while Jean-Michel Albert mentioned “Prayer Tahiti.”

The Prayer International Series is a globally-focused project, documenting the lives of young individuals pursuing their dreams in various cities around the world. Each episode showcases the unique culture and local narrative of its setting. Episodes have been filmed in cities like Istanbul, Rome, Seoul, Los Angeles, Tokyo, and more, with 15 episodes already completed from cities including Vancouver, Toronto, Lima, Cusco, Frankfurt, Hawaii, Rio de Janeiro, San Salvador, Atlanta, Wetzlar, Panama, and now Marseille.
