[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시 진영읍 박정훈 씨가 ‘2024년 대한민국 대표과일 선발대회’에서 단감 부문 우수상인 농촌진흥청장상을 수상했다.
대한민국 대표 과일 선발대회는 농림축산식품부가 주최하고 한국과수농협연합회가 주관하는 대회로 우수한 국산과일을 발굴하고 이를 소비자들에게 알리기 위해 매년 개최하고 있다.
박정훈씨는 대학 졸업 후 부모님을 도와 드리면서 단감 농사를 짓기 시작해 김해시 진영읍 신용리 2.5ha의 과수원에서 연간 70톤를 생산하고 있다.
단감에 대한 전문성을 갖추고자 지속적인 연구와 컨설팅 등을 통하여 GAP, 저탄소 농산물 인증을 취득하는 등 끊임 없는 노력으로 고품질 단감 생산을 위해 최선을 다한 결과로 단감 품질의 우수성이 알려져 유통업체의 주문 물량 외에도 단골 고객의 택배 물량도 증가하고 있다.
특히 진영지역은 100년 역사 단감의 시배지로서 산비탈 북사면에서 단감을 재배하고 있어 가을 서리의 피해가 적고 일교차가 큰 편이라 단감의 당도가 높고 아삭한 달콤함이 특징이다.
