(브레이크뉴스인천 문광수 기자) 부천시가 18일, 2025년 부천시민이 함께 읽을 ‘2025 부천의 책’을 선정했다고 밝혔다.
부천시에 따르면, 2025년 한 해 동안 부천시민이 함께 읽을 책은 일반분야 ‘이중 하나는 거짓말 (김애란, 문학동네)’, 아동분야 ‘행운이 구르는 속도(김성운, 사계절)’ 만화분야‘노인의 꿈(백원달, 북플레저)’ 특별분야 ‘살아있는 갈대 (펄벅, 길산)’ 등 총 4권이다.
특히 부천시는 부천을 빛낸 작가의 작품을 특별 분야로 신설해 유네스코 문학 창의도시 부천의 우수한 문학 자원을 널리 알리고, 시민과 함께 공유하는 계기를 마련한다는 계획이다.
앞서 사서와 전문가로 구성된 부천의 책 도서선정위원회는 시민 및 기관으로부터 추천받은 도서 506종 796권 중 분야별 5권씩 1차 후보 도서를 선정했다.
이어서 지난 10월 26일부터 온·오프라인 선호도 조사를 거쳐 최종 후보 도서를 선정한 후, 부천의 책 시민 선정단과 도서선정위원회가 함께하는 독서토론회를 통해 12월 14일 최종 4권(일반·아동·만화·특별 분야 각 1권)을 선정했다.
2025년 부천의 책 도서선정위원회 고경숙 위원장은 “이번에 선정된 2025년 부천의 책은 모두 ‘성장’을 주제로 하고 있다. 부모로부터 보호받지 못하는 청소년, 장애가 있는 아이, 죽음을 앞둔 노인, 역사적 비극 앞에 선 가족 등 그들이 각박한 현실 속에서도 역경과 시련을 딛고 성장해가는 이야기를 통해 소통과 공감의 계기가 되길 바란다”고 밝혔다.
‘2025년 부천의 책’은 시민 모두가 함께 읽을 수 있도록 2025년 1월 중 도서관을 비롯해 학교, 지역아동센터, 관공서 등에 비치될 예정이다.
또 내년 2월 22일 ‘부천의 책 선포식’을 시작으로 11월까지 부천 각지에서 독서릴레이와 강연, 독서토론회 등 프로그램이 진행될 예정이다.
