[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 2024년 김해시 최고명장으로 선정된 목칠공예 부문 송유훈 명장에게 인증서와 연구장려금을 수여했다고 27일 밝혔다.
시는 지난 2020년부터 숙련된 기술을 바탕으로 산업 발전과 지역사회에 기여하는 우수 숙련기술자를 시 최고명장으로 선정해오고 있으며 지금까지 도자기, 공예, 전통 농식품가공 분야서 총 8명의 명장을 배출했다.
올해는 지난 10월 공모에 공예 1개 분야 3개 직종에 3명이 신청 접수해 분야별 소위원회에서 1차 서류심사, 2차 현장심사를 거쳐 지난 20일 최고명장 선정위원회를 거쳐 선정을 완료했다.
김해시 제8호 최고명장 송유훈 씨는 미술협회 현대공예 초대작가 겸 국가무형유산 소목장 이수자로 현대디자인 전문 경험을 바탕으로 독창적인 전통 목가구로 목칠 공예 분야 발전에 기여하고 있다.
그는 2017년 경상남도 공예품대전 은상, 2009년 대한민국미술대전 우수상, 한국산업인력공단 자격검증 전문위원, 기능경기대회 운영위원, 교재편찬위원 등을 역임하며 김해 목칠공예산업의 우수성을 알리고 지역사회에 봉사해 온 공로를 인정받았다.
송 명장에게는 인증서와 인증패를 수여하고 연구장려금 600만원을 지급하며 시 누리집 등 각종 매체로 홍보한다.
그동안 김해시 최고명장들은 새로운 기술개발을 통한 판로개척, 후진양성과 기술전수, 지역사회 봉사 등의 활발한 활동을 하고 있다.
특히 김해시 최고명장과 전수생 등 10명으로 이루어진 단체인 ‘김해시 오방회 협동조합’은 지난 3월 김해분청도자전시판매관에서 특별전을 마련해 우수한 작품들을 시민들에게 선보였다.
또 ‘김해시 최고명장회 협동조합’은 올해 10월 가야문화축제에서 김해시 최고명장 홍보관을 운영하고 나눔 활동을 실천하는 등 활동의 폭을 넓히고 있다.
홍태용 시장은 ”김해시 최고명장 선정에 진심으로 축하의 박수를 보내며 앞으로도 산업 발전과 후진 양성에 더욱 노력해 달라“며 ”우리 시도 숙련기술인에 대한 사회적 인식 향상과 산업 경쟁력 제고를 위한 숙련 기술 장려 정책에 행정적, 재정적 지원을 아끼지 않겠다“고 말했다.
