브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 박상우 국토교통부 장관이 29일 9시 3분경 발생한 제주항공 2216편(방콕-무안) 사고와 관련, 중앙재난안전대책본부를 가동하고 관계기관과 사고수습상황 및 사고 원인 파악을 위한 긴급회의를 진행했다.
박 장관은 “행안부, 국방부, 소방청, 전라남도 등 관계기관과 실시간으로 정보를 공유하고, 체계적으로 협업할 필요가 있다”며 “국통부 중심으로 범정부가 한팀이 돼 조속히 사고를 수습하겠다”고 말했다.
이어 “유가족을 위해 할 수 있는 모든 지원을 하고, 국민들이 불안해할 중대한 사고인 만큼 사고 수습이 완료되면 철저히 사고원인을 조사할 계획이다”고 덧붙였다.
항공기는 전소됐으며, 13시 기준 인명피해는 탑승객 총 181명(승객 175명/태국인 2명 포함, 승무원 6명) 중 85명이 사망한 것으로 확인됐다.
2명은 구조됐으며, 목포한국병원과 목포중앙병원으로 이송됐다.
공항공사, 소방, 경찰, 군, 해경, 지자체 등 관계자 723명 동원된 상황이며, 희생자들은 무안공항 내 설치된 임시 영안실에 안치 중이다.
