[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시 시설관리공단은 ‘진주 하수슬러지처리시설’을 진주시로부터 인수해 관리·운영에 들어갔다고 1일 밝혔다.
진주 하수슬러지처리시설은 진주시 공공하수처리시설 5개소의 하수처리과정에서 발생하는 하수슬러지를 수거해 처리하는 시설이다.
공단은 전문자격 및 기술을 보유한 전문 인력을 배치해 기존 시설의 지속적인 개선을 통해 운영·효율성이 극대화될 수 있도록 최선을 다한다는 방침이다.
정상섭 이사장은 “이번 진주 하수슬러지처리시설의 성공적인 인수로 쾌적한 생활환경 조성과 주민 친화 시설로 자리매김하도록 최선의 노력을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
한편 진주시 시설관리공단은 오는 7월 진성 및 소규모 공공하수처리시설, 오는 2026년 1월에는 진주시 전 지역의 공공하수처리시설 관리업무를 진행할 예정이다.
