[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 16일 시청 시민홀에서 노인들의 사회참여를 도모하고 경제적 안정적을 지원하기 위해 ‘2025년 노인일자리 및 사회활동지원사업 발대식’을 개최했다.
이날 발대식에는 노인일자리 70개 사업단 참여자 중 200여명이 참석해 안전교육과 일에서 찾는 활기찬 노년을 주제로 한 역량교육도 함께 진행됐다.
시는 초고령화로 증가하는 노인 일자리 수요를 충족하기 위해 올해 총사업비 280억원을 투입해 전년대비 520명이 증가한 역대 최대 규모인 7064명에게 일자리를 제공한다.
노인일자리사업은 시직영 3개 사업단과 위탁수행기관 67개 사업단으로 진행하며, 약 11개월간 노인공익활동사업, 노인역량활용사업, 공동체사업 ,취업지원 등 총 4가지 유형으로 일자리에 참여한다.
조규일 진주시장은 “노인 일자리 사업은 어르신들의 삶에 활력과 자존감을 불어넣는 중요한 열쇠다”며“어르신들이 더 오래 활동하며 행복한 삶을 영위할 수 있도록 지속적인 지원과 노력을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
