대통령실이 18일 더불어민주당의 '일부 행정관 당 복귀는 차기 대선 준비' 주장 관련해 "명백한 가짜뉴스"라고 반박했다.
이날 대통령실에 따르면 국민의힘에서 대통령실로 파견됐던 10여명의 행정관들 중 2명이 최근 당으로 복귀했다.
대통령실은 이날 오전 "국민의힘에서 파견된 행정관이 지난해 2명 늘었다가 2명이 돌아갔을 뿐"이라며 "통상적 파견기간을 초과한 당직자들에 대한 인사조치였다"고 밝혔다.
그러면서 "박 의원 발언은 명백한 가짜뉴스"라며 "이들 복귀 여부는 이미 비상계엄 전 결정된 것"이라며 "탄핵 심판과 전혀 무관한 인사조치임에도 불구 사실과 다른 내용을 유포해 대통령실 인사까지 왜곡 선동하는 무책임한 언사에 깊은 유감을 표한다"고 밝혔다.
대통령실은 최근 당으로 복귀한 행정관 외 추가 복귀는 없다는 방침인 것으로 알려졌다.
앞서 이날 더불어민주당 박선원 의원은 SNS에 "정진석 대통령비서실장이 여당 지도부와 협의해 파견 당직자 20명 중 절반을 당으로 복귀시켰다는 제보를 받았다"며 "대통령실은 폐업 절차, 국민의힘은 대선준비에 착수한다는 뜻으로 이해해도 될 것 같다"고 적었다.
