[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 가축분뇨배출시설과 재활용시설이 밀집한 한림면 안하뜰 일원에 축산 악취 저감을 위한 방취림을 조성한다고 18일 밝혔다.

방취림은 김해시 가축분뇨공공처리시설 혐기성소화조, 수처리시설 제조사인 ㈜부강테크에서 지난해 10월 지정기탁한 후원금 5,000만원으로 조성하며 다음 달 착공해 오는 5월 준공예정이다.

시는 사업대상지 선정을 위해 한림면 주민 의견을 수렴해 대상지를 선정했으며 가축분뇨 악취 발생지 부지 경계에 수목을 집중적으로 심기로 했다.

주요 수목은 대나무, 금목서, 은목서로 사업 완료 시 축산악취 확산 방지뿐만 아니라 미세먼지 저감, 탄소 흡수원으로서의 기능이 기대된다.

시는 지정기탁금을 활용한 방취림 조성 이후 고향사랑기부금 재원으로 2차 방취림을 조성해 생활 불편 해소와 탄소중립사회 실현에 다가선다.

2차 사업을 위해 시는 고향사랑기부금 지정기부사업으로 ‘안하뜰 축산악취 저감을 위한 방취림 조성사업’을 모금 중이며 2026년까지 1억원의 기금을 조성해 이듬해 방취림을 조성할 계획이다.

이용규 환경정책과장은 “축산 악취 저감을 위한 방취림 조성으로 쾌적한 생활환경을 조성하고 탄소중립사회로의 전환에도 최선을 다하겠다”며 “방취림 추가 조성을 위한 고향사랑기부금에도 많은 관심과 참여를 바란다”고 말했다.
