백령도 사곶 천연비행장 모래벌판에서
속살 거품 숨김없는
희디흰 파도와 마주한 적이 있다.
서해로부터 밀려오는 파도는
내가 있는 쪽을 향해
쉼 없이, 연달아, 포말(泡沫)로 달려왔다.
파도들은, 그 좋은 느낌의, 파도들은
멀리서멀리서 나에게로 왔다.
파도들은, 오직 좋은 느낌만을 가지고
나에게로 왔나니
좋은 파도들이 주체할 수 없이
나에게로 가까이 오듯이
오늘, 좋은 일이 나에게로 다가오고 있다.
파도는 파도소리를 들려주듯
나에게로 오는 좋은 일들은
나를 흥얼거리게 한다.
좋은 일들이여, 어서 나에게로 오소서,
좋은 분들과 함께
오소도손 저녁을 즐기는
초저녁 밤 시간에
좋은 일이여, 어서어서

I once encountered white waves
without hiding their bubbles
on the sandy plains of Sagot Natural Airport in Baekryeong Island.
The waves from the West Sea
rushed toward me
without rest, one after another, like foam.
The waves, the waves with good feelings
came to me from far away.
The waves, with only good feelings
came to me
Just as good waves
come close to me uncontrollably
Today, good things are coming to me.
Just as the waves make me hear the sound of the waves
The good things coming to me
make me hum.
Good things, come to me quickly,
