가야의 숨결이 살아 있는 김해는 올해로 시군통합 30주년을 맞이하여 더욱 풍성한 문화예술행사와 축제로 시민들의 눈과 귀를 행복하게 할 예정이다.
유난히 긴 것 같은 겨울이 지나면 '문화예술의 도시 김해'에서 어떤 추억을 쌓을 수 있을지 미리 소개해보고자 한다.
<설레는 봄, 전통과 현대가 조화롭게 이어져 더 설레는 ‘김해’ >
김해의 봄은 ‘가야문화축제’로 시작된다. 2025년 가야문화 축제는 “이천년 가야 고도, 글로컬 도시 김해”라는 주제로 4월 10일부터 13일까지 나흘간 수릉원과 대성동 고분군 일원에서 개최된다.
가야의 오랜 역사적 전통을 젊은 감각으로 보다 대중화하고 현대적으로 구현하는데 초점을 둘 예정이다.
그리고, 전통의 맥을 잇고, 현대적인 감각을 더한 다채로운 공예품을 선보이는 ‘김해시 공예품 대전’을 4월 21일부터 27일까지 7일간 김해문화의전당 윤슬미술관에서 개최한다.
이번 행사는 지역 공예인들의 창작 의욕을 고취하고, 우수 공예품을 발굴하여 김해시를 공예도시로의 위상을 높이는데 기여할 것으로 기대한다.
불기 2569년 부처님오신날을 봉축하는 ‘시민연등축제’는 오는 4월 26일 수릉원에서 개최한다.
사물놀이, 초청가수 공연, 봉축법요식, 제등행렬로 진행되며, 김해 가야의 거리 일대에 연등축제 불교 조형물을 설치하여 남녀노소를 불문하고 많은 시민들의 발길을 이끌 것으로 기대한다.
올해는 시군통합 30주년을 맞이하는 해로, 문화예술과에서는 기념음악회를 계획하고 있다.
김해시가 추최하고 BNK경남은행이 주관하는 이번 음악회는 5월 10일 김해문화의전당 마루홀에서 개최할 예정으로, 오로지 김해시민을 위한 공연으로 기획하고 있으며, 시민의 날에 맞추어 진행한다. 사전예매는 추후 공지할 예정이다.
그 밖에도 눈여겨 볼만한 공연예술로는 시립청소년교향악단 정기연주회(3월29일, 김해서부문화센터 하늬홀), 시립가야금연주단 정기연주회(4월29일, 김해문화의전당 마루홀), 재즈와 다양한 음악장르를 결합하여 더 특별한 재즈콘서트(5월 9일, 김해문화의전당 마루홀)등이 다양하게 마련될 예정이니 많은 시민들이 클래식과 국악, 그 외에도 다양한 장르의 음악을 경험해보길 바란다.
전시행사로는 김해한글박물관에서 세종대왕 탄신일을 맞아 ‘세계와 소통하는 한글’ 테마전을 5월 개최한다.
이번 특별전은 ‘글로컬 시티 김해’에 맞춰 ‘세계와 소통하는 한글’을 주제로 사민필지, 첩해신어, 동문유해 등 세계화에 발맞춘 한글 책자들을 전시할 예정이다.
야외행사로는 진영한빛도서관 일원에서 5월 9일부터 11일까지 나흘간 개최하는 ‘김해아동문화축제’와 가야테마파크에서 5월 5일부터 18일까지 개최되는 ‘빛 축제 영원’의 행사일정이 확정됐다.
생활예술인들이 갈고 닦은 실력을 자랑하는 ‘생활예술인 페스티벌’(5월3일~5일, 진영역사야외공연장), 진영철도역박물관에서 개최하는 가정의 달 맞이 ‘전국 어린이 사생대회’(5월 예정) 행사와 3월부터 6월까지 매주 토요일 곳곳의 야외공연장에서 펼쳐질 ‘김해의 토요일은 즐거워!’ 행사도 기대해볼 만하다.

<HOT한 여름, 수준높은 공연들로 더 HOT한 ‘김해’ >
무더운 여름에는 시원한 실내로 들어가 수준높은 공연을 즐겨볼 수 있다.
‘시민행복음악회 2025 더 클래식 김해’(6월 10일)와 ‘김해시립합창단 정기연주회’(6월 13일, 김해문화의전당 마루홀), ‘김해국제음악제’(8월 경)가 예정되어 있어 김해시민 누구나 수준높은 클래식을 경험할 수 있으며, 6월 27일과 28일 양일간 ‘김해초선대전국가야금경연대회’를 개최하여 많은 가야금연주자들이 김해에 모여 뜨거운 경연을 펼칠 예정이다.
<깊어가는 가을, 분위기 있는 ‘김해’>
가을은 김해 문화예술의 절정을 이루는 계절이다.
9월 26일부터 28일까지 3일간 롯데정원형 공원에서 전국 232개 지방문화원이 참여하는 ‘2025 지역문화박람회 김해’를 개최한다.
이번 박람회는 한국문화원연합회와 김해문화원이 주최하며, 전시중심의 박람회 형식에서 벗어나 전시, 경연, 공연, 체험, 프리마켓 등 다채로운 프로그램으로 구성하여 시민들이 함께 즐길 수 있는 축제를 마련할 계획이다.
‘공예와 민속예술 창의아트 페스티벌’은 유네스코 창의도시 김해를 홍보하기 위하여 지난해 처음 개최되었고, 올해 10월 2회를 맞이한다.
유네스코 창의도시로 지정된 ‘공예와 민속예술’이라는 창의자산을 매개로 시민들이 함께 참여할 수 있도록 도예와 공예 체험, 아트마켓, 민속예술 공연 등으로 다양하게 구성될 예정이다.
그리고, 김해한글박물관에서는 제579돌 한글날을 맞아 한글학자 주시경 선생의 업적을 기리기 위해 ‘크고 바른 글, 한글’ 특별전을 10월 개최하고자 한다.
이번 전시에는 주시경 선생은 대표 저서 중 하나인 국어문전음학과 그의 제자들이 선생을 기리며 엮은 주시경 선생 유고 등이 전시될 예정이며, 특별전과 연계하여 박물관 일원에서 캘리그라피 글쓰기, 한글 사각 등 만들기 등 체험행사도 진행한다.
그 외에도 김해의 대표 국악기인 가야금의 아름다움을 시민들과 함께 느낄 ‘제15회 가야금페스티벌’(9월 24일~27일)과 김해 예술인의 활동을 총망라한 ‘김해예술제’와 전통민족예술의 대표적 행사인 ‘김해민족예술제’가 10월로 예정되어 있고, 가을의 끝자락 11월에는 은하사에서 ‘산사음악회’를 개최할 예정이다.
