이완섭 서산시장이 지난 25일 독립 유공자의 희생과 헌신을 기리기 위해 지곡면 일원에 거주하는 유족들을 찾아 위문했다.
이날 이 시장은 애국지사 박양삼 선생의 자녀 박성희 씨와 애국지사 임팔호 선생의 자녀 임승규 씨를 방문하여 위문품을 전달하고 감사의 마음을 전했다.
애국지사 박양삼 선생은 1919년 3월 서산군 대호지면에서 면민들과 함께 만세운동을 전개했으며, 정부는 그의 공로를 인정하여 2022년 대통령 표창을 수여했다.
한편, 애국지사 임팔호 선생은 1935년 10월 전라북도 정읍군에서 일본 군인회관 간행 잡지에 일본 왕들의 사진에 반일적인 내용을 적어 옥고를 치른 바 있다.
